Spooky and Sweet

Halloween Candy | Storypiece.net

Last year I shared how much we love Halloween around here.

Silly outfits and candy… What’s not to love?!  Of course, we tend to bypass all the spooky tricks and go straight for the sweet treats.

This year the kids are again dressing up as some of their favorite characters.

Evan is going as Spock.  Live Long and Prosper.

I think his twelve year old fanboy self is dying over this costume.

Tessa is going as Harry Potter.

She started out thinking she’d go as Hermione, but with the short hair, she decided it was the perfect opportunity to go as The Boy Who Lived.

As for Tyson and I… well, this is the first year that we’ve gone with a theme and I’m beyond excited.  I’ve seriously always wanted to do something together and pretty much would’ve gone with any idea.  I suggested going as the Spartan Cheerleaders, but that idea was quickly vetoed.   It may have been because Tyson knows I would’ve busted out those Spartan dance moves ALL. DAY. LONG.

Instead we went with classic 50’s.

Isn’t he swell?!

Wishing you a Halloween that’s both Spooky and Sweet!

Thanks! She loved being Harry and even was surprised to find out that one of her friends was dressed as Luna. Dressing as one of your favorite characters is always the best!

Thank you! My favorite part was the glasses… they reminded me of one of my favorite bloggers. 🙂 Unfortunately, I do not have your tiny waistline and did not do that skirt justice. Hope you guys had a great Halloween!

LOVING the Spock costume. His expression is hilarious. I also love the Princess Leia and Steve costumes from last year! I can only hope my future kids will be as nerdtastic as yours are some day.

Thanks Megan! You are so sweet to say that. He was a bit discouraged that it actually took most people time to realize he was even in costume. And then he was met with “Dude! What’s up with your ears?!” We’re looking to you to raise that next generation of nerdtastic kids. You’re our only hope! 😉
