Howdy all! It’s been gross and rainy in Portland, Oregon (no surprise)… fall has definitely arrived. In years past, getting my holiday shopping done early has actually been a HUGE life saver in the face of the weather we get in the Pacific Northwest. In fact I have been thankful to have all of my Christmas shopping finished before the city shuts down due to a snow storm. When that has occurred, my biggest worry was wondering if one gift would make it via UPS rather than trying to figure out how I was going to convince my family we’d be opening presents after the thaw.
This week the focus of the holiday shopping guide is for the tech person on your gift list. Now, please know that I’m not a big tech person, but my husband and son can talk about the latest devices for hours. With the two of them to shop for, I often ask for a very specific wish list so I know what the heck I’m buying… especially when it comes to the higher ticket items. However, I like to find unique tech items that I can fill their stockings and surprise them with. That is the basis for this list.
My husband loves having a place for everything and everything in it’s place so he would greatly enjoy this gift.
If you have someone on your list that likes things organized then being able to corral all those cords that come with their devices is a gift that will bring joy all year round.
I’ve been eyeing this docking station in the Beech finish for a while. It turns your iPhone into a traditional style alarm clock. So cool!
Keeping a charger in your car is always a good idea. Having the Flux Capacitor makes sure you’re fully charged no matter what time you travel to.
May the force be with you any time you need to charge your device.
If you need more ports for multiple USB devices, why not make it something fun?
This is my kind of tech gadget… functional and super stylish!
A little bling to go along with your favorite music.
Because sometimes you have more than one friend you want to share with.
It’s a paint brush AND a stylus for your iPad. My artists will love this!
And because my guys are tech savvy, I asked them for their recommendations for you. They suggested:
The size of a large juice cap, this speaker allows you to broadcast music from anywhere up to 35 feet away.
If you want to try out a watch that connects to your phone, this is a great alternative and more reasonably priced than many on the market. My son has been using a Pebble for several months and it’s one of his favorite new tech items.
So who’s started their Christmas shopping? Have you found any really cool gifts yet? I’m curious… is there anyone on your list that you have a difficult time shopping for?
