On more than one occasion, I’ve shared here about my tendency to possess two black thumbs. When it comes to being outdoorsy, I’m definitely an indoors kinda girl. While some people find it therapeutic to dig around in the dirt, I’m constantly aware of spiders and bees and (heaven forbid) garden snakes. In fact it’s the sound of scampering that made me walk into a boat prop several years ago.
Yes… I’m much safer for everyone when I’m indoors.
However, I do have visions of being an amazing gardener and I admire my friends that are talented in this area. For those that are gifted when it comes to growing stuff, this holiday shopping guide is for you.
Maybe it’s because it keeps you out of the dirt or maybe it’s because I like to play games, but this is my kind of gardening. Think about it… you get to scatter your seeds with a SLINGSHOT!
For the more serious gardner, this work station would be awesome! It has been on my Pinterest board for a while and I think it’s because it lets you play in the garden, while being a bit removed from anything that might be creepy or crawly.
Being an indoor girl, I often think the key to overcoming my plant killing ways is to start small with an herb garden. I like that this one is made from recycled glass and the packaging serves as the pot for your plant.
It’s like a box of chocolates, but for the gardner, it holds something much sweeter.
I’ve always wanted a salsa garden, but an herb garden for your bar would be a delicious alternative too.
Of course, my favorite thing about the garden is all the fun decor it can hold. How gorgeous is this vintage thermometer?!
And an outdoor clock… yes, please!
Round-up some of the fruits of your labor in this pretty vase. I was actually given one of these a few years ago and I still love it.
How sweet are these miniatures that you can add to your garden?!
This is the piece that makes me long to be an incredible gardner. How pretty would this be in your yard?
PS. This would make an amazing Valentine’s Day gift too, but you didn’t hear that from me.
The weather man always has an idea of how many inches it’s snowed in your city, but why not find out how much has accrued in your own backyard.
If you’re going to be outdoors, you might as well enjoy the space with some fun family games.
