Adding Bling to Your Kitchen: Kohler Faucets

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kohler for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you are a long time reader of this blog, then you know that renovating our kitchen has been on our “to-do” list for some time. We’ve replaced the appliances, the island and painted the walls and trim.

Up next is to paint the cabinets.

The idea of our kitchen and our lives being out of commission for a stretch of time keeps my husband and I looking at each other and having the “Are you ready?… Me, neither” conversation.

However, last year we were given the gift of a beautiful new kitchen faucet. The handle on our old faucet was missing a screw and causing it to constantly pop off. It had been this way since we moved in and we all subconsciously learned how to apply just the right amount of pressure to use the faucet without making the handle fall off. Because it “worked” for us, it was low on our priority list to replace. It would only become an issue when a guest would come over, use the sink and in horror the handle would come off in their hands.

What can I say…. We’re super classy around here!

So when my mom was visiting for the holidays and the handle became detached for the umpteenth time, we headed to Lowe’s and she gave us a new kitchen faucet for Christmas.

Of course once we installed the new faucet, we realized just how much like animals we had been living. Like a new piece of jewelry, a new faucet for our kitchen makes us feel all kinds of fancy.

Having reviewed the great selection of faucets at Lowes, I was amazed at all of the features that are available… things we didn’t even know we were missing until we started looking. And one brand that specifically stood out was Kohler.  Their line includes these two gorgeous faucets:

Cardale Kitchen Faucet

•A Sweep Spray (TM) that creates a forceful blade of water designed to sweep away stuck-on food from your dishes. I’m a huge fan of not having to soak or scrub.

•Temperature memory that allows the faucet to be turned on and off at any temperature setting.

• Kohler Scratch Shield (TM) finishes that resist corrosion and tarnishing, exceeding industry durability standards over two times. I’m pretty partial to this dark finish.

•Left or right handle installation and 360° spout rotation.

Elliston Kitchen Faucet

•Sleek, refined design that will complement your modern kitchen decor perfectly

•MasterClean(TM) spray face that resists mineral buildup and is a snap to clean

•High temperature limit stop that allows you to preset a comfortable maximum temperature to eliminate scalding.

•Optimal height and reach that provides plenty of clearance beneath the spout

Are you living with something that needs to be replaced, but still “works” for you? Have you recently purchased a new kitchen faucet? Who else is procrastinating on the kitchen renovation front? Our new kitchen faucet has been begging for a new sink to partner with. It might be time for us to get painting.

Isn’t it funny how we learn to live with things that are broken because we know we’re going to fix them one day, until we forget that they are even broken. I do that all the time. Then someone comes over and sees it, and I’m horrified.

Those are beautiful faucets. I would love any of them. And I didn’t realize faucets came with so many cool feature now.
