The 89th Academy Awards are this Sunday and I’m so excited!! It’s one of my favorite events to watch and this year is no exception. The ceremony showcases the best in cinema and of course, I LOVE the Red-Carpet fashion. You never know what’s going to happen and it’s always fun to root for your favorite actors and/or movies.
I’ve been kicking around the idea of hosting an Oscar viewing party with my girlfriends, but when I came across these cute glasses a few weeks ago, I knew it needed to happen.
In addition to food and fun glassware, I also wanted to come up with a little treat that my girls could take home with them. I’d love to give them all their own Oscar’s because they are award winning friends, but since that’s not Oscar category, I’m giving them the next best thing…. Chocolate.

How to Make Oscar Party Treat Boxes
For this project, I created the “Thank You” labels with this online tool. The online designer makes printing your own labels SO fast and easy! (This is not a sponsored post, I just really like using the program for quick projects like this one.) You can purchase the precut Round Avery Labels (8293) for added ease or print on regular paper and cut and glue yourself. I used a full sheet adhesive label (Avery Labels – 8165) since that’s what I had on hand. I then cut out the circles to work with.
Cut Black Card-stock Into Circles
Cut out black card-stock to back your label and give it a bit of weight on the star. You can leave it with a clean edge or use decorative scissors for added texture.
Glue Design to Stars
Fill Box with Treats and Add Ribbon
I used glue dots so that my guests could easily slide off the ribbon and get to the goodies inside.
